A ceili (kay-lee) is a traditional Irish gathering for fun, fellowship, and laughs (or craic as the Irish might say). Traditional ceili dances were enjoyed at house parties and corner road gatherings in the rural countryside. Decades later, they are still very popular in Ireland. The Bonfire, Haymakers Jig, Siege of Ennis, Fairy Reel, etc are very easy to learn. Many of these traditional country folk dances have a follow the leader pattern that new dancers can pickup on their 1st attempt.
We hope you join us!
About Evolution Dance Dancing is a gesture of the whole body, which can align the body with the heart and soul. It is one of the most powerful forms of expression and a dynamic tool for awakening and stirring the subtle forces and energies of life. Dance is a means of focusing and directing consciousness through physical behavior - an outer expression of the inner spirit. At Evolution Dance, our mission is to nurture our students' personal growth - physical, intellectual and emotional - through the experience of Irish dance. We invite you to join us, and Awaken Your Spirit Within Through Dance.
